The study of lipoprotein production in FRG® KO mice has been ongoing and data were recently published in PLOS ONE describing the transformation of lipoprotein profiles from wild type to humanized mouse systems.  In human we observe typical predominance of LDL to HDL in a ratio of 1.6.  In mouse, we observe that they are high in HDL and much lower in LDL.  Upon humanization of the liver, we observe that highly humanized animals shift from a high HDL/LDL ratio to a more human-like ratio of HDL/LDL as shown in the plot above.
